- Security found the 22-year-old star with a gun in his luggage at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Tuesday
- Deputies from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office were then called to the scene and Flenory Jr. was arrested
- The weapon was a Glock 19 9mm and it wasn’t loaded but police did find a 15-round magazine according to the publication
- The star was taken into custody and booked for introducing a firearm into the sterile area of an airport which is a felony
- Law enforcement sources claimed this was the 130th gun that had been found at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport this year alone
- He is the son of Demetrius ‘Big Meech’ Flenory who was the leader of the Black Mafia Family in Detroit and is currently serving a 30 year prison sentence
Rapper and actor Demetrius ‘Lil Meech’ Flenory Jr. – who is the lead star in 50 Cent’s BMF series – has been arrested at an airport in Florida for having a gun in luggage.
Security found the 22-year-old star with a gun in his luggage at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Tuesday according to law enforcement sources for TMZ.
Deputies from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office were then called to the scene and Flenory Jr. was arrested.

Flenory Jr. is the lead star in Starz series BMF AKA Black Mafia Family which is executive produced by Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson.
No doubt the project hits close to home as he is portraying his father Demetrius ‘Big Meech’ Flenory. He stars alongside Russell Hornsby, who plays Charles Flenory.
They are two brothers who rose from the decaying streets of Detroit in the late 1980s as they gave birth to one of the most influential crime families in the country.

The first season aired back in 2021 and the series is set to return for its second season beginning January 6, 2023.
His father Big Meech – who was the leader of the Black Mafia Family – is currently serving a 30 year prison term for continual criminal enterprise (drug trafficking) and money laundering. He is set for release on May 5, 2029.
Flenory Jr. also had a guest starring role in HBO’s Euphoria playing Travis over season 2 earlier this year.
Lil Meech is also a rapper who self released the song Bad Habits in 2019 as the music video even included a half-minute recording of his father conversing him from jail.
