Kanye West’s Former Business Manager Unable To Serve Him w/ $4.5 Million Lawsuit Due To Rapper’s Office Evictions

Former billionaire mogul Kanye West is evading legal documents.

According to a report from Radar Online, the “Donda” artist’s former business manager Thomas St. John is attempting to sue the rap star for unpaid wages. However, the financial professional says he’s having trouble pinpointing West’s location.

As previously reported, the 45-year-old musician was set to be put out of his L.A. offices. Reports claim that West owes renters more than $63,000 in back rent. Now, it seems all of the offices West once rented out for his businesses are allegedly no longer verifiable addresses for him. Reportedly, this became apparent to St. John after attempting to serve West lawsuit documents at multiple of these locations.

Reportedly, St. John is suing West for a total of $4.5 million in unpaid wages. St. John says he was hired back in March to run West’s financial affairs. Allegedly, St. John was to act as the musician’s “most senior financial advisor” with a monthly retainer of $300,000. However, 3-months into their 18-month deal, West reportedly got irate and fired St. John. Allegedly, the Yeezy owner stated:

“The 18-month term was bullsh*t [and] You’re insane for even thinking I would stick to it,”

The report adds that St. John was seemingly prepared for a potential letdown on West’s end. His legal team wrote in the suit:

“In addition to the economic costs and risks associated with committing to [West] as clients, [St. John] also needed assurance that [West] would not simply walk away from the business relationship. Mr. St. John, however, proposed to compromise on an agreement with a minimum term of 18 months,”

Speaking on West’s whereabouts, the business manager’s legal team says they were initially in contact with West’s attorneys prior to filing the suit. However, they claim those attorneys have since ended their relationship with West. Additionally, the suit addresses the issue of West’s business location. The legal doc reportedly reads:

“After a diligent attempt, the process server was unable to execute service on the agent for service of process for Yeezy, who appeared to no longer be occupying the office address listed on the 2022 California state filing,”

It continues:

“For Mr. West, despite our diligent efforts, we were unable to ascertain his current residential address, and therefore, have not yet made attempts to serve him personally. Instead, we have attempted to service him by mail at multiple possible addresses….We are concerned that even if the mailings reached defendants, they will not return the signed acknowledgment of receipt, especially since they appear to be without counsel,”

Reportedly, St. John is currently pleading with the courts to give him more time to locate West before the suit is dismissed.
