HBO Max Announces ‘Velma’ Premiere Date on Streamer & It’s Closer Than You Think!

HBO Max has announced the release date for Velma!

Here’s a synopsis of the series: “Velma is an adult animated comedy series telling the origin story of Velma Dinkley, the unsung and under appreciated brains of the Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc. gang. This original and humorous spin unmasks the complex and colorful past of one of America’s most beloved mystery solvers.”

Mindy Kaling will provide the voice of the title character, as well as executive produce the show.

Constance Wu, Glenn Howerton and Sam Richardson round out the Mystery Inc gang, with Jane Lynch, Wanda Sykes, Weird Al Yankovic, Ming-Na Wen, and Yvonne Orji also providing voices throughout the show.

In a new release from HBO Max, the streamer revealed that Velma will debut on Thursday, January 12.
